Piqua Church of Christ - Service Ministries

The Harvest is great and the laborers are few

Greeters and Servers: Jason Frantom

Greeters are some of the first people that our guests meet at our worship services. They help set a positive and warm tone as well as help newcomers find their way. Our greeters make a huge difference at Piqua Church of Christ. Our servers take care of serving communion to worshippers as well as collecting the offering. Occasionally, they are also called upon to distribute other materials that may aid in the worship service.

Building Care: Artie Parker

This ministry strives to provide a clean and comfortable environment where the Body of Christ can worship.  We utilize the skills and talents of the congregation to take care of the needs of the church. This ministry includes the painting, cleaning, and everyday maintenance of the church building.

Building Grounds: Steve Colby

First appearances can leave lasting impressions. This ministry includes the sign area, grass mowing, drainage, trimming of bushes, snow removal, and everyday outside maintenance of the Church ground.

We come to eat together, play sports together and be involved in special groups together. This team will also communicate opportunities to serve, as well as, provide information about the work of the church.

Benevolence: John Richard

The Benevolence ministry fulfills Matthew 25. The ministry mission is to help anyone who has a need. The ministry's function is to assist those in our community and, especially, our congregation.

Christian Education/Youth: Jeanne Martin,

Angie Frantom, Earla Muir

By using God's word, the Bible, as our textbook we are preparing children, youth, and adults for the purpose of accepting Christ and His salvation while developing in Christ and equipping believers to be effective bond-servants serving Christ in Christian ministry.

Evangelism/ Discipleship: Travis Mowell

It is our mission to reach out to our community with open arms, teaching and baptizing them in the Name of Jesus Christ. Calling on new prospects and members, training and encouraging others within the Body of Christ to grow spiritually.

Financial: Jerry Seay, Wayne Melgaard

The finance ministry serves the church body and our Lord Jesus Christ by providing good stewardship of the resources with which God has blessed us. It is also responsible for establishing the stewardship and financial planning of the yearly budget, and monitors it throughout the year to keep us on track

Missions: Jim Witt, Jonathan Simms

The Piqua Church of Christ is founded on the mission of Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8.  The purpose of this ministry is to reach the lost in Piqua, the area surrounding Piqua, and to the utter-most parts of the world through our Brothers and Sisters in Christ serving in far away lands.
